Orange Hill to exhibit never before shown pieces from their private collection
Celebrating the one-year anniversary of their opening, Orange Hill unlocks their vaults.
Atlanta - December 1, 2005 - Orange Hill Art is excited to announce One: The Private Collection, January 19, 2006 - March 4, 2006. The exhibition will be on view, starting January
19, 2006, with an opening reception on Thursday, February 9, 2006 from 7pm-10pm. Many works in the exhibition are on loan from founder, Robbi Raitt's personal collection, or are pieces never before
shown by Orange Hill.
One will showcase works by some of the world's most complex and gifted artists, such as Archie Byron, Lorenzo Scott, Karl Mullen, John Henry Toney, James "Buddy" Snipes,
Scott Griffin, Chris Clark, Roger "Ab the Flagman" Ivens, Thornton Dial, Sr. and others.
In his second year of business, founder Robbi Raitt remains committed to championing the cause of self-taught artists, improving their working conditions, their living conditions and helping them
to be self-sustaining.
"Orange Hill has had a great first year. We have brought many new self-taught artists to the mainstream collector and have created an intrinsically rich showcase for the artwork," explains Raitt,
"However, the mission to help the art and the artists to be better understood continues."
